Journey through the Build with Bethlehem Baptist

Wednesday – DAY Four

The roof went up! The team worked hard and we have made great progress. We still have some challenges with the home (needed to order some special materials) but we shall overcome. The staff and volunteers have been great. We were even able to provide some desert to the wonderfully donated Salvation Army lunch. BBC was able to give a donation to Habitat for Humanity, Baton Rouge via ABC USA, National Ministries. We have developed some great relationships in a short amount of time. We have 14 distinct personalities with 14 distinct skill sets it takes all parts of the body to be successful just like the body of Christ. We must remember we are all made in the image of God. This is easier said than done just like life but with God and elbow grease it is more than possible. Tomorrow we will continue with the trusses, install sub roofing, anchors and windows and doors. Shemico will be on-site with her children. I hope she is surprised with the great progress we have made in one day. Take care and many blessings – W. Thompson, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Penllyn / Springhouse, PA
